Thurs ramblings (and Wednesday eve / Thurs morning pre-market ES )

SUMMARY
Well the SPX did hit 1115 today as i expected and posted this morn, as big a drop as that seemed at the time. It did NOT hit 1112 as i expected. the qqqq short exited breakeven. the vxx did nicely. and took some profits in tza swing. overall a good day, not great, not bad, but good (from profit perspective). Took 4.1 to 5.3% profits in the swing I entered yesterday at 906 and 896. Took only 1% on daytrade VXX but it was on a lot of shares. Still have some VXX as swing.

TRADE IDEA:  I am considering SHORTING MS today. Daily and 60 min suggest more downside. Will probably see if MS has any bounce, and try to short into it. Possible swing trade to hold for a 1-5 days.

Right now, futures are basically flat. But ES futures made an overnight high of 1139.25 on the 1:00 AM candle, and a low of 1130.75 on the 5:00 AM candle. They bounced off 1130.75 to 1138, and now back down to 1135. If ES stays between 1137 and 1131, they would continue in the coil that is under formation now. If this coil forms, and velocity does not increase, then the ES could trade most of the day in a narrow range, until 3:14 PM.  Of course, at 9:30 AM volume will increase, and could easily cause some larger moves outside the current coil.
